it's weird when you have a rift with a friend and you dont even realize it. but it happens.
today i went to a 10am mtg and twice my boss walked by... i was the only one in the room for 10 minutes. no one else showed up. so i'm like, the first time, oh how funny... i'm early, i guess. the second time he's like, um. it looks like no one is coming to your, ahem, "meeting." uhhhhhhhhh. yea. i guess not. so i'm back at my desk. i'll just wait it out til someone comes to get me. which they will and then i'll look like the asswipe who didnt get to the mtg on time.
today i realize that the wkds not only fly by, but so do the weeks. this is a new phenomenon because it seems to me that since i got this new job, my life has been put in high gear, which i dont drive a stick so i dont know what gear is highest.
britney calls it quits and i love it. but i'm waiting to hear what the hell is going on behind the scenes. sure, he sucks ass, but hasnt he always? did she wake up just this week and realize he is the poisonous snake that ruined her life? ouch. harsh.
and i got my hair cut. its short. make no bones about it. the longest layer comes to my chin and the rest falls somewhere between my shoulder and a little below that. its kinda hard to tell since there are so many layers. she took off at least 3 and a 1/2 inches. plus i begged her to throw in about 5 foils to give me some dimension and some volume at the crown and around my face. she threw in about 15 and now i have blonde highlights. um. i have to admit, i dont like it. i should have kept it brown. but the thing about my hair is that the highlights never keep for very long. in a few days they will be dulled again.
ah... so my coworkers wanna see the jewels tomorrow. since i am bringing them to show K, i mentioned i will have them. they are thinking of buying jewels for all the workstudies, except the one boy workstudy. i think thats a great idea. then i can get my name out as a designer on campus. theres a little pressure to package them in increments of $10 each tho and have each workstudy pick out which one she wants. i will have to check on what i have. will do that tonite, instead of going knitting class. so much to do, so little time.
happy thursday. i feel pad thai is in order. yum.

I also love it. She is the same EXACT age as me, which freaks me out. I mean, she has already had multiplatinum albums, 2 kids, an annulment, and now a divorce! I am seriously lagging.
And people do change.
I hate rifts. I wish there was no such thing as rifts!
5th gear is high. Unless you have a really nice car like some BMW's in which case 6th gear would be high. :)
And I canNOT wait to see the new 'do'.
